Configured for Direct Part Marking applications, the Datalogic PD9531-DPMK1 is a corded 2D area imager that reads DPM codes produced by laser/chemical etching, dot peening and ink jet printing, with a typical DPM reading distance from contact to 1.5-1.9 in depending on technology, code resolution and surface type. High density optics extend the capture range for small, high-resolution codes from near contact up to 5.9 in, while omnidirectional reading and a soft pulsed white illumination system support all-day operation. The scanner reads standard 1D codes including GS1 DataBar linear codes alongside 2D symbologies — Aztec Code, China Han Xin Code, Data Matrix, MaxiCode, Micro QR Code and QR Code — plus a full set of postal and stacked codes including PDF417, MicroPDF417 and MacroPDF. Host connectivity covers USB, serial and keyboard wedge. The black and yellow handheld body weighs 11.64 oz and measures 8.3 in tall, 2.9 in wide and 4.3 in deep. This kit includes the scanner and cable CAB-550.

The Datalogic PowerScan PD9531 is a corded industrial handheld barcode scanner built for operations and IT teams working in demanding environments such as manufacturing, warehouse and logistics centers, and shipping and receiving applications. Part of the PowerScan 9500 series, it uses a 2D area imager to read any orientation of 1D, 2D, stacked, and postal codes from contact to over 1.0 m / 3.3 ft, depending on barcode resolution, eliminating the need to align labels precisely and keeping throughput high. Its ergonomic handle and well-balanced weight at 11.64 oz reduce operator fatigue during scan-intensive shifts, while a soft-pulsed white illumination light is gentler on the eyes than traditional flash-based systems. Multi-interface connectivity via USB, Serial, and Keyboard Wedge ensures straightforward integration with existing workstations and host systems.
