The Datalogic Joya Touch is a multi-purpose handheld terminal designed for retail environments, including self-shopping, queue-busting, inventory, assisted sales, shop floor operations, access control, and gift registry applications. Available in both handheld and pistol-grip form factors, it gives retailers the flexibility to match device configuration to each task, with switching between the two being quick and straightforward. The 4.3" FWVGA touchscreen LCD at 854 x 480 resolution provides a clear, responsive interface, while Datalogic SoftSpot technology lets users position a virtual scan trigger anywhere on the display. A 2D imager reads all standard 1D and 2D codes, confirmed by Datalogic's patented Green Spot visual feedback. IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and NFC keep the device connected across the store, and wireless charging cradle support eliminates contact cleaning and maintenance. With 512 MB RAM, 1 GB flash, and SD card expandability, the Joya Touch runs Windows Embedded Compact 7 and supports Datalogic's Shopevolution self-shopping middleware as well as third-party software.
