Shipping with a serial host interface, included 110 V AC power supply, and mask stand, the Honeywell MK9540-72B41 is a cabled, handheld single-line laser scanner built around CodeGate data transmission technology for point-of-sale, menu-scanning and document processing workflows. Its laser light source reaches a maximum scan resolution of 5 mil at 72 scan/s, with depth-of-field ranges spanning contact to 2 in at 5.2 mil, contact to 5 in at 7.5 mil, and 1 in to 10 in at 21 mil -- covering a broad spread of label densities and read distances up to 8 in. Laser output is 0.96 mW peak, and orientation tolerance is rated at roll 42 degrees, pitch 68 degrees and yaw 52 degrees. The gray handheld body measures 7.8 in tall, 3.1 in wide and 1.6 in deep, weighing 5.26 oz. System interface support includes RS232, PC keyboard wedge, OCIA, IBM 468X/469X, light pen emulation, non-decode emulation and USB. The scanner carries Class 1 laser ratings per IEC 60825-1 and EN 60825-1, FCC and ICES-003 EMC clearance, EN55022 Class B compliance, and a five-year limited warranty.
