Its depth of field ranges from contact to 2 in at 5.2 mil, extending to 1 in to 10 in at 21 mil, giving it practical range across varied label sizes. The scanner autodiscriminates all standard 1D bar codes via a multi-interface host connection supporting RS232, Keyboard Wedge and IBM 468X/469X configurations. Automatic infrared activation triggers scanning without a manual trigger press. The black chassis measures 7.8 in tall, 4 in wide and 1.6 in deep and weighs 5.26 oz. EMC compliance covers FCC, ICES-003 and EN55022 Class B; laser classification meets CDRH Class II and EN60825-1:1994/A11:1996 Class 1, with RoHS and WEEE environmental compliance also confirmed.
