The FEIG HyWEAR compact is a hybrid Barcode & RFID Wearable that makes manual material handling processes more efficient by freeing both hands to perform work. The HyWEAR compact is an ideal tool for use in warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, baggage handling, parcel delivery and logistics operations that enables employees to work in a much more ergonomic manner. HyWEAR compact works without special receiving stations and can be integrated immediately into existing process chains. Several devices can be connected directly to the Ethernet within a radio cell via WLAN. HyWEAR compact can switch from one radio cell to the next using Wi-Fi roaming without having to register again ? the device connects automatically and imperceptibly to the new Wi-Fi access node. Depending on the variant the HyWEAR compact identifies 1D and 2D barcodes, UHF RAIN RFID tags or both as a hybrid data collection tool. The HyWEAR compact is installed on a flexibly adjustable handcuff, leaving the user?s fingers, hand and arm free to move. The HyWEAR compact has a high capacity, long-life, rechargeable battery that powers the device for the duration of a working shift.
