The Addimat waiter lock supports both polling and non-polling modes: using polling mode, the system requests the ID automatically, while in non-polling mode, the key is read when inserted. Each key is equipped with a globally unique 48-bit serial ID, making every key clearly distinguishable. The user simply moves the key close to the reader, and the magnetic contact locks it into position. That is not only easy, but also saves time. With a standard RS-232 or USB interface, connecting the Addimat waiter lock is easy. Optionally, data transfer also occurs via Bluetooth. The supplied adhesive Velcro strips allow for placement of the Addimat waiter lock nearly anywhere, including keyboards, monitors, and bar tables, while its maximum cable length of up to 2 meters offers the necessary flexibility.
