With field-installable RFID encoding and 300 dpi resolution, the Zebra ZE52163-L010000Z is a direct thermal and thermal transfer print engine built for sustained industrial operation. It reaches 12 in/s across a 6.60-inch print width, handling die-cut, continuous and black mark media up to 12.01 mil thick, with transmissive and reflective sensors accommodating both media types. A 512 MB standard memory allocation supports complex label jobs, while a 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen, rotatable up to two meters from the engine, simplifies line-side operation. USB, USB host, Fast Ethernet and Bluetooth connectivity are standard, with optional Wireless LAN and Parallel interfaces also available. ZPL, ZPL II and ZBI 2.0 emulation, a real-time clock, and 2D symbology support including PDF417, Data Matrix, QR Code and Aztec are included. The fanless, all-metal chassis weighs 35.49 lb and operates from 31°F (-0.6°C) to 104°F (40°C). Certifications include cTUVus, CE, FCC A and Energy Star.

The Zebra ZE521 is a 6-inch industrial thermal transfer print engine built for OEM integrators and high-volume label printing operations in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, healthcare, and retail. Engineered with an all-metal, fanless enclosure designed to resist debris and water ingress, it delivers reliable 24/7 performance in harsh production environments. Thermal transfer and direct thermal printing are both supported, and a maximum print speed of 14 in/s at 203 dpi keeps demanding lines moving. A 4.3" color touchscreen with a rotatable, remote-mountable design simplifies operation and status monitoring, while standard connectivity spanning USB, RS-232 Serial, 10/100 Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.1, and dual USB Host ports ensures straightforward integration into existing wired and wireless infrastructure. Field-installable UHF RFID capability enables encoding and tracking workflows without requiring a separate device, and ZPL/ZPL II emulation with 512 MB of memory supports sophisticated label formatting at scale.
