HID 940NNPTEKE0053 is a HID Global iCLASS SE R90 long-range smart card reader. Designed primarily for vehicle access and parking control, it provides extended read ranges and supports a wide variety of contactless smart card and mobile device technologies. Extended read range is optimized for longer-range tracking, including gated entries and parking applications. Multi-technology support is interoperable with multiple high-frequency and low-frequency credentials, including iCLASS Seos®, iCLASS SE, standard iCLASS, MIFARE Classic, and MIFARE DESFire EV1. Advanced security features include the Secure Identity Object® (SIO®) data model and a hardware-certified EAL5+ Secure Element for protection of cryptographic keys. OSDP support uses Open Supervised Device Protocol over an RS-485 connection for secure, bidirectional communication between the reader and the controller.
