Its 1280 x 1024 area imager reads omnidirectionally across a 360-degree roll angle, with 40-degree skew and 40-degree pitch tolerance, resolving DataMatrix symbols from 4 mil to 10 mil and PDF417 from 10 mil, against a minimum print contrast of 15% and in ambient light up to 100000 lux. The scanner reaches out to 43.30 in and operates from -4°F (-20°C) to 122°F (50°C), backed by a 3350 mAh Lithium Ion battery that recharges in up to 10 hours. IP65-rated and surviving 50 drops from 2.0 m / 6.6 ft onto concrete, the 15.70 oz unit handles USB, serial, and keyboard wedge host interfaces and supports the full range of 1D, 2D, stacked, and postal symbologies for warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, and inventory applications.

The Datalogic PowerScan PM9500 is a ruggedized cordless handheld 2D area imager designed for IT and operations teams deploying scanners in demanding industrial environments such as warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. Powered by Datalogic's STAR Cordless System operating at 433 MHz or 910 MHz, it delivers wireless freedom with seamless roaming and point-to-point or multi-point configurations supporting up to 32 readers per radio receiver. Its omni-directional imaging engine reads all standard 1D and 2D codes, including direct part marks, from contact up to over 1.0 m depending on barcode resolution. An IP65-rated housing and drop resistance of 2.0 m / 6.6 ft onto concrete ensure reliable operation in harsh settings, while a removable Lithium-Ion battery rated for 30,000+ scans per charge supports more than one full shift of intensive scanning. Ethernet, RS-232, and USB interfaces simplify integration into existing host systems.
