The Datalogic DS8100A is a fixed-mount industrial laser barcode scanner engineered for the most demanding Transportation and Logistics environments, including parcel sorting, airport baggage handling, automated warehousing, and postal and courier applications. Built on an aluminum alloy housing rated IP65, it delivers a scan rate of 1000 scans/s across a reading distance of 500 to 1900 mm, reading up to 10 different symbologies simultaneously. ASTRA G3 optic technology provides outstanding depth of field and field of view without mechanical autofocus, while DST (Digital Signal Technology) ensures reliable reads even on low-quality or damaged codes. Ethernet and serial connectivity support seamless integration into multi-scanner tunnel systems, and the browser-based e-GENIUS configuration tool eliminates the need for dedicated software, simplifying setup and ongoing diagnostics.
