Note:
For the highest security, apply thread-locker liquid to the internal threads of the RAM® Pin-Lock™ Security Nut prior to installation.
Recommendations:
For an extra tight grip, RAM recommends the RAM-KNOB9HU Hi-Torq™ wrench. For larger 'D' size mounting solutions, RAM® utilizes a larger knob that offers the ideal amount of leverage to properly tighten your mount to prevent slippage in heavy chop or in extreme vibration environments. Use the cold weather wrench to tighten the mount for optimal performance. Aftermarket locking knobs are not capable of tightening the RAM® Mount to the required tension to perform in high vibration applications. The addition of an aftermarket knob will make the mount not compatible with the cold weather wrench and will not be able to tighten properly. |
