Its LED-illuminated imager delivers omni-directional scanning at a maximum resolution of 7.80 mil, with a scanning distance of 18 in and depth-of-field ranges spanning 0 cm to 11.4 cm on 5 mil Code 39, 0 cm to 21.6 cm on 10 mil UPC/EAN, and 0 cm to 15.2 cm on 10 mil DataMatrix. Symbology coverage includes the full 1D linear set — UPC/EAN, Code 39, Code 128, Code 93, GS1 DataBar and more — alongside PDF417, MicroPDF417, Composite Codes, Aztec, MaxiCode, DataMatrix/ECC 200, QR Code, and eight postal formats. The Zebra DS9808 is a hybrid presentation imager designed for retail and point-of-sale environments where both hands-free and handheld scanning are required at the checkout stand. Its omnidirectional 2D imager captures 1D, 2D, and PDF417 barcodes from printed labels and mobile phone displays, with a swipe speed programmable up to 100 in./254 cm per second to keep checkout lines moving efficiently. The innovative hybrid form factor seamlessly switches between presentation and handheld modes, while USB and serial interfaces ensure straightforward integration with existing POS systems. Select variants add integrated UHF RFID reading for combined barcode and RFID workflows, and the scanner is built to withstand multiple 5 ft./1.5 m drops to concrete. A 3-year limited warranty and RoHS compliance round out a dependable, enterprise-ready solution.
