Bluetooth 3.0 Class 1 wireless delivers an open-air range of up to 100 m / 328 ft, with SPP and HID profile support and piconet operation connecting up to 7 scanners to a single base station simultaneously. The base station communicates to the host via Serial, USB or Keyboard Wedge interfaces, and Ethernet connectivity — including Industrial Ethernet protocols Ethernet IP and Modbus — is available through the BC9180-BT base/charger. Scanning runs at 35 scan/s over a 1D laser light source, covering 15 symbologies including Code 128, Code 39, UPC/EAN, GS1 DataBar linear codes, Interleaved 2 of 5 and Code 93. The handheld chassis weighs 15.34 oz, carries an IP65 ingress rating and withstands drops to 2.0 m / 6.5 ft. This kit ships in yellow/black and includes a USB cable, power supply, EU power cable, charging/transmitter cradle and a removable battery, targeting warehouse, distribution and manufacturing shop-floor environments.
