It reads 1D and 2D symbologies -- including Code 39, Code 128, Data Matrix, QR Code, Aztec, PDF417 and a full range of GS1 DataBar and postal codes -- out to a scanning distance of 23.60 in, resolving Code 39 elements from 3 mil to 20 mil and DataMatrix elements from 10 mil to 15 mil at a minimum print contrast of 25%. Reading angles reach 60-degree skew, 60-degree pitch and 180-degree roll, and the white LED illumination operates in ambient light up to 100000 lux. The Ethernet-interfaced module connects to Android, Linux and PC platforms via cable, captures grayscale images in BMP and JPEG formats, and withstands repeated drops from 3 ft onto concrete. An IP54 rating and operating range of -4 degrees F (-20 degrees C) to 122 degrees F (50 degrees C) support deployment in retail self-checkout, ticketing, manufacturing and healthcare environments.
