Datalogic Magellan 9800i, Scanner/Scale, Medium Platter (Power Accessories and Cable Sold Separately)

SKU:

982040102M1

Checkpoint EAS integration sets the Datalogic 982040102M1 apart within the Magellan 9800i multi-plane imaging scanner/scale family, making it suited for retail environments where loss prevention and checkout throughput run in parallel. Configured with a medium platter, this in-counter scanner/scale reads 1D barcodes, 2D barcodes, and Digimarc-encoded labels across multiple imaging planes, supporting broad product presentation flexibility at the checkout lane. The bi-optic low-bonnet form factor fits standard in-counter installations. Power accessories and interface cable are sold separately, allowing integration into existing lane infrastructure without bundled components that may not apply to every deployment.

Description

The Datalogic Magellan 9800i is a high-performance in-counter barcode scanner designed for demanding retail and grocery checkout environments. Flush-mounted into the checkout counter, it uses advanced digital imaging to read both 1D and 2D barcodes seamlessly across all planes without requiring cashiers to orient items, reducing rescans and accelerating throughput. An optional Top Down Reader adds a large topside field of view and a customer-facing imager for mobile coupons and loyalty codes, while optional integrated scale configurations support single- and dual-interval weighing. The ScaleSentry shrink monitoring system helps reduce losses at the point of sale. Multi-interface connectivity — including USB, RS-232, and IBM 46XX — simplifies integration with diverse POS systems, and a sapphire glass scanning window ensures long-term durability.
