The serial host interface configuration of the Datalogic 85203-01102-03010A distinguishes this in-counter barcode scanner within the Magellan 8500 family, connecting to POS systems over a wired cable without requiring a separate USB cable. It deploys 3D SurroundScan technology with a laser light source to read all six sides of an item, covering a scanning distance of 6 inches and auto-discriminating all standard 1D codes as well as GS1 DataBar linear and GS1 DataBar Stacked symbologies. The in-counter chassis measures 11.5 inches wide, 7 inches high, and 5 inches deep, with an overall length of 20 inches. Designed for high-volume retail point-of-sale lanes, the 85203-01102-03010A is backed by a 1-year limited warranty.

Description
ico-plus ico-minus
The Datalogic Magellan 9800i is a high-performance in-counter barcode scanner designed for demanding retail and grocery checkout environments. Flush-mounted into the checkout counter, it uses advanced digital imaging to read both 1D and 2D barcodes seamlessly across all planes without requiring cashiers to orient items, reducing rescans and accelerating throughput. An optional Top Down Reader adds a large topside field of view and a customer-facing imager for mobile coupons and loyalty codes, while optional integrated scale configurations support single- and dual-interval weighing. The ScaleSentry shrink monitoring system helps reduce losses at the point of sale. Multi-interface connectivity — including USB, RS-232, and IBM 46XX — simplifies integration with diverse POS systems, and a sapphire glass scanning window ensures long-term durability.
