The scanner's 1280 x 800 area imager reads Direct Part Marking codes produced by laser etching, dot peening, inkjet printing and electrochemical etching, resolving DataMatrix elements from 5 mil to 10 mil at a minimum print contrast of 15%, across a scanning distance of 8.90 in. Reading angles span 52 degrees skew, 52 degrees pitch and 360 degrees roll, and the imager operates under ambient light to 100000 lux. The removable 3350 mAh Li-Ion battery recharges in 3.20 hours, and Bluetooth 5.0 supports cordless operation with RS-232, USB, Ethernet and other interface options through the modular base. IP67 and IP65 ratings, 20kV air electrostatic discharge tolerance and a drop specification of 50 drops from 2.5 m at 20 degrees C cover the physical demands of manufacturing, assembly line and component-tracking deployments, with an operating range of -4 degrees F (-20 degrees C) to 122 degrees F (50 degrees C).
