With 512 MB of standard memory and field-installable RFID encoding capability, the Zebra ZE52163-R010000Z is a direct thermal and thermal transfer print engine delivering monochrome output at up to 12 in/s and 300 dpi across a 6.60-inch print width, with a maximum print length of 45 inches. A 4.3-inch color LCD touchscreen, rotatable up to two meters from the engine, supports operation alongside a real-time clock and ZPL, ZPL II, and ZBI 2.0 emulation. Connectivity covers serial, USB, USB host, Fast Ethernet, and Bluetooth 4.1, with optional Wireless LAN and parallel interfaces. Transmissive and reflective media sensors handle die-cut, continuous, and black mark stock, while the fanless all-metal chassis operates from 31 degrees F (-0.6 degrees C) to 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). Engineered with an all-metal, fanless enclosure designed to resist debris and water ingress, it delivers reliable 24/7 performance in harsh production environments. Thermal transfer and direct thermal printing are both supported, and a maximum print speed of 14 in/s at 203 dpi keeps demanding lines moving. A 4.3" color touchscreen with a rotatable, remote-mountable design simplifies operation and status monitoring, while standard connectivity spanning USB, RS-232 Serial, 10/100 Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.1, and dual USB Host ports ensures straightforward integration into existing wired and wireless infrastructure. Field-installable UHF RFID capability enables encoding and tracking workflows without requiring a separate device, and ZPL/ZPL II emulation with 512 MB of memory supports sophisticated label formatting at scale.
