The Zebra DS2208 is a corded handheld 2D area imager designed for retail, hospitality, transportation and logistics, light manufacturing, and government environments where reliable, high-throughput barcode capture is essential. Its 640 x 480 pixel image sensor reads a broad range of 1D and 2D symbologies — including QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, and UPC/EAN — across a working range of 0.5 in. to 14.5 in., while Zebra's PRZM Intelligent Imaging delivers consistent first-pass decoding even on poor-quality or low-contrast barcodes. Omni-directional scanning eliminates the need to align the device, speeding up POS checkout and reducing operator training time. Weighing just 5.7 oz., the DS2208 connects via USB or RS-232 with auto-host detect cables that identify the interface automatically, and it ships pre-configured for immediate deployment.
