The Honeywell MK5145-31B41 ships as a complete RS-232 kit — scanner, power supply, cables and manuals included — centered on CodeGate technology, which holds scanned data until a dedicated button press transmits it, a practical advantage in menu scanning and document processing environments. The single-line laser light source resolves barcodes down to 4 mil, with depth-of-field ranges spanning 0.375 in to 1.5 in at 4.1 mil, widening to 0 in to 7.125 in at 26 mil, giving it flexible working distances across common label densities. Symbology coverage includes all standard 1D codes plus RSS-14, RSS-Limited and RSS-Expanded. The CCD image sensor has no moving parts, and the handheld chassis measures 6.7 in deep by 2.5 in wide by 1.4 in tall, weighing 3.41 oz in black. It runs on 5 V DC and meets IEC 60825-1 Class 1 laser and FCC and ICES-003 and EN55022 Class B EMC standards.
