SKU:

1960GSR-2EZ-N

The Honeywell 1960GSR-2EZ-N is a tethered, standard-range 2D area-imager scanner shipping with a USB cable and EZDL firmware pre-loaded. Its 1280 x 1080 image sensor reads 1D, PDF, 2D, Postal, Digimarc, DOT Code and OCR symbologies at distances to 43.90 in, resolving Code 39 down to 3 mil and DataMatrix down to 5 mil, with a minimum print contrast of just 15%. A 42-degree horizontal by 36-degree vertical field of view, 65-degree pitch and skew tolerance, 360-degree roll acceptance and 157.48 in/s motion tolerance keep throughput high across varied presentation angles. White LED illumination functions in ambient light up to 100000 lux, and ESD immunity reaches 15kV. The scanner draws a maximum of 2.50 W, operates from 32°F (0°C) to 122°F (50°C), and carries an IP52 rating alongside a drop specification of 50 drops at 1.8 m to concrete. Weighing 5.19 oz in black, it connects via USB or serial and suits retail, self-checkout, inventory and assembly-line deployments, backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

Description
ico-plus ico-minus
The Honeywell Xenon Ultra 1960G is a corded handheld barcode scanner built for retail associates, inventory teams, and light manufacturing operators who need fast, reliable scanning across a full shift. Connecting via USB or Serial, the scanner's 1280 x 1080 pixel imager reads both 1D and 2D barcode symbologies — including damaged or poor-quality codes — with a print contrast threshold as low as 15%, keeping checkout lines and assembly workflows moving. A green-dot aimer sharpens targeting accuracy, while the Honeywell Scanner Management Utility simplifies deployment and updates across large fleets. IP52-rated environmental sealing and a 1.8 m (6 ft) drop specification to concrete make it dependable in demanding retail and light-manufacturing settings. Operating across 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F), the scanner suits environments from self-checkout lanes to component-tracking stations.

What host interfaces does the Honeywell Xenon Ultra 1960g support for connecting to a POS system or PC?
The Xenon Ultra 1960g supports USB, Keyboard Wedge, and RS-232 host interfaces, giving you flexibility to integrate with existing POS terminals and workstations without replacing cabling infrastructure.
What barcode types can the Honeywell Xenon Ultra 1960g decode?
It reads standard 1D, PDF, 2D, Postal, Digimarc, DOT Code, and OCR symbologies, including common codes such as Code 39, Code 128, UPC, PDF417, Data Matrix, and QR Code.
How durable is the Honeywell Xenon Ultra 1960g for a busy retail or light-manufacturing environment?
The scanner is rated IP52 for environmental sealing, withstands multiple drops of 1.8 m (6 ft) to concrete across its operating temperature range, and tolerates up to 100,000 lux of ambient light, making it well suited for demanding retail and light industrial settings.
What is the operating temperature range of the Honeywell Xenon Ultra 1960g, and can it handle cold storage areas?
It operates from 0°C to 50°C (32°F to 122°F) and stores from -40°C to 70°C (-40°F to 158°F); the operating range does not extend below freezing, so it is not rated for active use in cold-storage environments.
What warranty does the Honeywell Xenon Ultra 1960g carry?
The corded 1960g includes a 5-year factory warranty.
Can existing Xenon XP 1950g cables be reused when deploying the Honeywell Xenon Ultra 1960g?
