The Datalogic PD9531-K1 is a Direct Part Marking (DPM)-capable corded 2D area imager, bundled as a kit with a USB cable, that reads codes applied by laser/chemical etching, dot peening and ink jet printing at typical DPM reading distances from contact to 1.5-1.9 in. High density optics extend the working range to 5.9 in for small, high-resolution codes, while the same imager autodiscriminates all standard 1D codes including GS1 DataBar linear symbologies, plus 2D formats such as Aztec Code, Data Matrix, QR Code, Micro QR Code, MaxiCode and China Han Xin Code, as well as PDF417, MicroPDF417 and a full set of postal and stacked codes. Host connectivity spans USB, serial and keyboard wedge interfaces. The black and yellow handheld chassis measures 8.3 in tall, 2.9 in wide and 4.3 in deep, weighing 11.64 oz, and is manufactured in Slovakia.

The Datalogic PowerScan PD9531 is a corded industrial handheld barcode scanner built for operations and IT teams working in demanding environments such as manufacturing, warehouse and logistics centers, and shipping and receiving applications. Part of the PowerScan 9500 series, it uses a 2D area imager to read any orientation of 1D, 2D, stacked, and postal codes from contact to over 1.0 m / 3.3 ft, depending on barcode resolution, eliminating the need to align labels precisely and keeping throughput high. Its ergonomic handle and well-balanced weight at 11.64 oz reduce operator fatigue during scan-intensive shifts, while a soft-pulsed white illumination light is gentler on the eyes than traditional flash-based systems. Multi-interface connectivity via USB, Serial, and Keyboard Wedge ensures straightforward integration with existing workstations and host systems.
