Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4 connectivity built into the ZD4A042-301W02EZ set this ZD421 series thermal transfer desktop printer apart from wired-only configurations, with USB and USB Host ports rounding out the standard interface set and a modular connectivity slot leaving room for Ethernet or Serial (RS-232) expansion. It prints monochrome labels and receipts at 203 dpi and up to 5.98 in/s across a 4.09-inch print width, accepting media up to 4.41 inches wide and 7.50 mil thick on rolls to 5 inches in diameter, with label lengths to 39.02 inches. Full-width, moveable reflective/black mark, and multi-position transmissive/gap sensors cover die-cut, continuous, black mark, fanfold, tag stock and wristband media. The 256 MB of standard memory runs ZPL, ZPL II, EPL, EPL II, XML, ZBI and EZPL emulation under Link-OS, with a real-time clock included. At 4.52 lb, the unit supports iOS, Android and PC platforms and carries cTUVus, FCC Class B, Energy Star and a broad set of international certifications.
