Bundled with an RS-232 Ruby Verifone cable, boot, base, and manual, the Honeywell MK3580-31A62 is a serial-interface, in-counter laser scanner drawing 5 V DC. Its omni-directional scan pattern resolves codes to 5 mil, with a depth of field that stretches from 2 in to 4 in at 5.2 mil, 1 in to 8 in at 7.5 mil, 1 in to 10 in at 10.4 mil, 1 in to 11 in at 13 mil, and 1 in to 12 in at 19.5 mil. Symbology support covers all standard 1D barcodes plus RSS-14, RSS-14 Limited, and RSS-Expanded. The compact chassis measures 4.3 in tall, 2.7 in wide, and 2.6 in deep at 6 oz. Laser safety is certified to IEC60825-1:1993/A1:1997+A2:2001 and EN60825-1:1994/A11:1996+A2:2001 Class 1, with EMC compliance under ICES-003 and EN55022 Class A.
