Configured with 512 MB RAM and 1 GB of flash storage, the Intermec CK71AB2KN00W1100 is a WLAN-only handheld terminal running on a 600 MHz OMAP 3 processor with Bluetooth and a 2D area imager that reads 1D, 2D, PDF, Standard UPC and Data Matrix symbologies. The 3.5-inch color VGA touchscreen resolves at 480 x 640, and a numeric keypad handles data entry, while a microSD card slot allows user-accessible storage expansion. Wireless connectivity follows IEEE 802.11a/b/g with an internal antenna and supports WPA2, WPA, WEP, TKIP, AES and CCXv4 security protocols. The unit is rated to survive drops to concrete from 72 in and withstands air electrostatic discharge of 15kV DC and direct electrostatic discharge of 8kV DC. The included 5200 mAh Li-Ion battery powers a chassis measuring 9.3 in deep, 3.2 in wide and 2 in tall at 1.23 lb. Interface cables and charging cradles are sold separately.
