Datalogic Magellan 9800i, 2D, multi-IF, adaptive scale, kit (USB)

SKU:

9810211220-00761

Configured as a USB kit with an adaptive scale, the Datalogic 9810211220-00761 is an in-counter 2D area imager from the Magellan 9800i series, built for high-volume retail and grocery checkout lanes. Its imager-based scanning engine reads 1D linear codes, stacked codes and 2D symbologies omnidirectionally, covering GS1 DataBar families, EAN/JAN Composites, UPC A/E Composites, PDF417, MicroPDF417, Aztec Code, Data Matrix, QR Code and Micro QR. Host interface options include USB, Powered USB, Serial and IBM 46XX, giving the unit broad POS compatibility. The in-counter chassis measures 15.7 inches in length, 11.5 inches in width, 4 inches in depth and 2.7 inches in height, supporting a low-profile checkstand installation. Good-read audio and visual confirmation support uninterrupted cashier throughput, and a top-side accessible service port allows most service calls, including software upgrades, without removing the unit from the counter.

Description

The Datalogic Magellan 9800i is a high-performance in-counter barcode scanner designed for demanding retail and grocery checkout environments. Flush-mounted into the checkout counter, it uses advanced digital imaging to read both 1D and 2D barcodes seamlessly across all planes without requiring cashiers to orient items, reducing rescans and accelerating throughput. An optional Top Down Reader adds a large topside field of view and a customer-facing imager for mobile coupons and loyalty codes, while optional integrated scale configurations support single- and dual-interval weighing. The ScaleSentry shrink monitoring system helps reduce losses at the point of sale. Multi-interface connectivity — including USB, RS-232, and IBM 46XX — simplifies integration with diverse POS systems, and a sapphire glass scanning window ensures long-term durability.
