Its 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of flash memory are supplemented by a microSD and microSDHC expansion slot for additional storage. The laser-based 1D barcode scanner feeds data to a 2.7-inch QVGA LCD touchscreen at 320 x 240 resolution, while an accelerometer automatically orients the display. A Li-Ion battery powers the unit, which is rated to survive drops to concrete from 48 inches, placing it in field and warehouse environments where durability is a daily requirement.
