Its dual lighting system — low-angle direct illumination for dot peen and laser-etched marks, plus an integrated diffuser for shiny or curved surfaces — supports a minimum print contrast of just 20% and resolves Code 39 symbols down to 3 mil and DataMatrix symbols from 5 mil to 10 mil. The omni-directional imager reads both 1D and 2D symbologies across a 41-degree horizontal by 32-degree vertical field of view, with skew and pitch tolerance of 45 degrees each and a maximum scanning distance of 24 ft. USB, Serial, and Keyboard Wedge interfaces are supported, and maximum operating power draw is 2.35 W. The scanner operates from -22 F (-30 C) to 122 F (50 C), stores to 158 F (70 C), and tolerates non-condensing humidity to 95%, with air ESD tolerance of 20kV and contact ESD of 8kV. Weighing 11.01 oz in red, it ships as a scanner-only unit with interface cables ordered separately.

The scanner also captures standard 1D and 2D barcodes on printed labels, making it a single solution across the entire workflow, from production line to warehouse. With an IP65 rating, tolerance for 50 drops to concrete from 2 m (6.5 ft), 5,000 tumbles from 1 m (3.2 ft), and an operating range of -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 122°F), it is well suited to automotive, aerospace, defense, electronics, and pharmaceutical environments. USB, Serial, and Keyboard Wedge interfaces ensure straightforward integration with existing host systems.
