Bluetooth 3.0 Class 1 wireless delivers an open-air range of up to 100 m / 328 ft, with SPP and HID profile support and piconet operation connecting up to 7 scanners to a single base station simultaneously. The base station communicates to the host via Serial, USB or Keyboard Wedge interfaces, and Ethernet connectivity — including Industrial Ethernet protocols Ethernet IP and Modbus — is available through the BC9180-BT base/charger.
