The Datalogic DS5100 is a fixed-mount industrial laser barcode scanner engineered for procurement and automation engineers in demanding manufacturing environments. Designed to serve automotive, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and general manufacturing operations — including shop floor, end-of-line, automated warehouse, intralogistics, and pallet reading applications — the DS5100 delivers a scan rate of 800 scan/s and reads medium range (200–1000 mm) or long range (300–1400 mm) depending on model. DST (Digital Signal Technology) and the ACR4 reconstruction algorithm ensure consistent reads on low-quality, low-contrast, or damaged barcodes. IP65-rated aluminum housing and subzero models rated to -35°C keep the scanner operational in harsh or frozen environments. Embedded EtherNet/IP and PROFINET-IO eliminate the need for external fieldbus devices, while the X-PRESS interface and Genius software simplify setup and ongoing maintenance.
