Its laser light source delivers bi-directional scanning at 100 scan/s, with a working range reaching 17 inches on 100% UPC and extending to 23 inches on 20 mil stock; at 5 mil the depth of field runs from 2.5 to 6 inches. The scanner operates at 5 V DC and weighs 5.15 oz in a handheld black chassis measuring 6 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and 3.3 inches deep. Supported interfaces include USB, Serial, Keyboard Wedge, Wand Emulation, IBM 468X/469X and Synapse, with 1D symbology coverage spanning UPC/EAN, Code 39, Code 128, Code 93, Code 11, Interleaved 2 of 5, Discrete 2 of 5, UCC/EAN 128 and RSS Variants. Electrical safety certifications include UL1950, CSA C22.2 No. 950 and EN60950/IEC950; EMI compliance covers FCC Part 15 Class B and the European Union EMC Directive; the laser is rated CDRH Class II and IEC Class 2.
