The external I/O license included with the Honeywell 3320G-4-EIO sets this hands-free desktop scanner apart from standard configurations in the Vuquest 3320g family, enabling additional functionality without hardware changes. The unit reads 1D, PDF, 2D, Postal and OCR symbologies using an area-imaging sensor, covering both printed labels and digital barcodes on smart device screens. Three host interfaces — USB, Serial and Keyboard Wedge — are supported via cable connection, and the laser-free aiming system eliminates eye strain during sustained counter use. At 2.72 oz and measuring 2.9 in long, 2 in wide and 1 in tall, the ivory desktop housing is compact enough for tight point-of-sale countertops. Note that the USB cable is sold separately.
