The SE4710 scan engine reads Code 39 at element resolutions from 4 mil to 20 mil, DataMatrix to 10 mil and PDF417 to 5 mil, with a standard-range scanning distance of 30 in, a 42-degree horizontal and 28-degree vertical field of view, and a 360-degree roll tolerance that accommodates virtually any presentation angle. OCR-A and OCR-B recognition extend capture beyond standard barcodes, while ambient light immunity reaches 107,639 lux. The chassis carries an IP65 ingress protection rating and is rated for multiple 6 ft drops to concrete across the operating temperature range. RoHS and REACH compliance are met, and the unit ships with a battery included, backed by a 1-year limited warranty.

Choice of SE4710 or SE4770 1D/2D standard-range imaging engines — powered by PRZM Intelligent Imaging and a megapixel sensor — ensures fast, accurate capture of even damaged or poorly printed barcodes across a comprehensive range of 1D, 2D, and OCR symbologies. IP65-sealed and drop-tested to 6 ft./1.8 m on concrete, the RS5100 weighs just 2.47 oz./70 g yet handles the rigors of industrial environments across full shifts, backed by a swappable PowerPrecision+ Li-ion battery that delivers up to 12 hours or 14,400 scans per charge.
