The Verkada BP52 Alarm Panel is a cloud-managed intrusion detection appliance designed for security and IT teams responsible for protecting single or multi-site facilities across commercial, enterprise, education, and healthcare environments. Serving as the central hub of a Verkada alarm system, it supports 32 wired input zones with 12V DC auxiliary power and a built-in VLink sub-GHz transceiver that connects up to 160 wireless sensors — making it well suited for retrofitting existing installations without new wiring. Managed entirely through Verkada's Command platform, administrators gain live sensor activity, interactive zone mapping, software-defined partitions, and automatic firmware updates from any web or mobile browser. Two built-in battery slots and a mount for an optional cellular backup communicator ensure the system remains operational even during power or network outages, delivering the high availability that demanding facilities require.

FAQs

What is the Verkada BP52 Alarm Panel designed to do, and what types of organizations is it suited for?
The BP52 acts as the central brain of a Verkada alarm system and is suited for organizations that want to replace traditional panels without new wiring, manage multiple sites from a single cloud platform, or expand intrusion protection across larger facilities using BE32 expanders.
How many wired sensor zones does the Verkada BP52 support, and can it also handle wireless sensors?
The BP52 provides 32 wired input zones, each with 12V DC aux power, and its built-in VLink sub-GHz transceiver connects up to 160 wireless sensors, with further wireless expansion possible via PoE hubs, keypads, and repeaters.
How is the Verkada BP52 managed, and what visibility does it give operators?
The BP52 is managed through Verkada's cloud platform, Command, which provides a live interactive zone map of all connected sensors, automatic health checks with offline device alerts, and automatic firmware updates delivered without manual intervention.
What backup power and cellular redundancy options are available for the Verkada BP52?
The BP52 has two built-in battery slots for optional VBX backup batteries and a built-in mount for an optional cellular backup communicator; because the panel operates locally with all expanders and keypads on-site, only one cellular backup device is needed for the entire site.
What are the physical and environmental specifications of the Verkada BP52?
With its enclosure, the BP52 measures 21.9 inches high, 12.7 inches wide, and 4.6 inches deep, weighs 16.2 lb, and operates in temperatures from 32 to 122° F (0 to 50° C) at 0–90% RH non-condensing.
What accessories are included with the Verkada BP52, and what certifications does it carry?
The BP52 ships with an AC cable, VLink antenna, 32 x 1kΩ EOL resistors, a wall mount, two keys for the built-in lock, a flathead screwdriver, and four plywood screws; it holds FCC, IC, UKCA, RCM, CEC BC, UL/IEC 62368-1, and CSA NO22.2 62368-1 certifications, and carries a 10-year warranty.
