The Verkada BP32 Wireless Alarm Panel is a cloud-managed intrusion detection hub designed for IT and security teams managing single or multi-site environments across commercial, enterprise, and institutional sectors. Acting as the central controller of a Verkada wireless alarm system, it supports up to 160 wireless sensors through its built-in VLink sub-GHz transceiver and scales further with additional hubs and repeaters over LAN. Powered by a single PoE cable, the compact unit installs easily in tight spaces and operates locally for continued reliability during network outages. A built-in CAT 4 LTE modem and a 57.6 Wh internal LiFePO4 battery provide up to 30 hours of backup, while cloud management through Verkada Command enables remote health monitoring, partition configuration, and automatic firmware updates without requiring an on-site visit.

How does the Verkada BP32 stay operational during a power or network outage?
The BP32 includes a built-in LTE backup communicator and an internal 57.6 Wh rechargeable LiFePO4 battery that provides up to 30 hours of backup with typical use and no RS485 output, and the panel continues to operate locally with all alarm devices on site during network outages.
How many wireless sensors can the Verkada BP32 support?
The BP32's built-in VLink hub supports up to 160 wireless sensors, and capacity can be expanded further by connecting additional WH52 hubs, WH32 repeaters, and BK22 keypads over LAN with no stated upper limit on expansion.
What power input does the Verkada BP32 require, and does it support RS485 output?
The BP32 accepts IEEE 802.3at PoE+ input, which also enables the RS485 output with 36V DC auxiliary power at up to 167 mA; it also accepts IEEE 802.3af PoE, but that configuration does not provide RS485 output.
What certifications and compliance standards does the Verkada BP32 carry?
The BP32 holds FCC and IC certifications for RF and EMC, UL/cUL/IEC 62368-1 and CSA C22.2 No. 62368-1 for safety, and PTCRB, T-Mobile, and AT&T certifications for cellular; the datasheet notes these certifications were pending and expected by the product ship date.
What is included in the box with the Verkada BP32, and what are its mounting options?
The BP32 ships with two paddle antennas, a mount plate, a T10 Security Torx screwdriver, four wall screws, and four wall anchors; it supports wall or ceiling mounting.
How is the Verkada BP32 managed, and what ongoing administration does it require on site?
The BP32 is cloud-managed through the Verkada Command web or mobile app, enabling users to monitor sensor activity, manage key codes, configure software-defined partitions, and troubleshoot devices without being on site; automatic health checks run every minute, and firmware updates are applied automatically.
