The Datalogic PD9531-HPEK2 is configured for Direct Part Marking (DPM) environments, shipping as a kit with the scanner and CAB-434 RS-232 cable and operating across a 10-30 VDC input range. Built around high-density optics, it reads DPM codes from contact to 4-5 cm / 1.5-1.9 in and captures small, high-resolution standard codes from near contact up to 15.0 cm / 5.9 in, covering all standard 1D codes including GS1 DataBar linear, plus 2D symbologies Aztec Code, China Han Xin Code, Data Matrix, MaxiCode, Micro QR Code and QR Code, stacked formats including PDF417 and MicroPDF417, and nine postal code standards. The handheld imager connects via USB, serial or keyboard wedge and weighs 11.64 oz in its black-and-yellow chassis measuring 8.3 in tall, 2.9 in wide and 4.3 in deep, suited to warehouse, logistics and manufacturing DPM scanning operations.

The Datalogic PowerScan PD9531 is a corded industrial handheld barcode scanner built for operations and IT teams working in demanding environments such as manufacturing, warehouse and logistics centers, and shipping and receiving applications. Part of the PowerScan 9500 series, it uses a 2D area imager to read any orientation of 1D, 2D, stacked, and postal codes from contact to over 1.0 m / 3.3 ft, depending on barcode resolution, eliminating the need to align labels precisely and keeping throughput high. Its ergonomic handle and well-balanced weight at 11.64 oz reduce operator fatigue during scan-intensive shifts, while a soft-pulsed white illumination light is gentler on the eyes than traditional flash-based systems. Multi-interface connectivity via USB, Serial, and Keyboard Wedge ensures straightforward integration with existing workstations and host systems.
