Configured as a kit with a CAB-434 RS-232 cable, the Datalogic PD9531-DPMK2 is a corded 2D area imager in the PD9530-DPM Evo series built specifically for Direct Part Marking environments where codes are etched, dot-peened or ink-jet printed directly onto parts rather than on paper labels. Its high-density optics cover DPM reading from contact to 1.5-1.9 in, depending on code resolution and surface type, and extend to 5.9 in for standard high-density printed labels, with omnidirectional capture and a soft pulsed white illumination to reduce flash intensity. Symbology support spans all standard 1D codes including GS1 DataBar linear, and 2D formats including Data Matrix, QR Code, Micro QR Code, Aztec Code, MaxiCode and China Han Xin Code, plus PDF417, MicroPDF417, MacroPDF, nine postal code formats and a full range of GS1 DataBar stacked variants. Host interfaces include USB, serial and keyboard wedge. The black and yellow handheld chassis measures 8.3 in tall, 2.9 in wide and 4.3 in deep, weighing 11.64 oz, and fits manufacturing shop-floor applications such as component tracking, work-in-progress and quality control.

The Datalogic PowerScan PD9531 is a corded industrial handheld barcode scanner built for operations and IT teams working in demanding environments such as manufacturing, warehouse and logistics centers, and shipping and receiving applications. Part of the PowerScan 9500 series, it uses a 2D area imager to read any orientation of 1D, 2D, stacked, and postal codes from contact to over 1.0 m / 3.3 ft, depending on barcode resolution, eliminating the need to align labels precisely and keeping throughput high. Its ergonomic handle and well-balanced weight at 11.64 oz reduce operator fatigue during scan-intensive shifts, while a soft-pulsed white illumination light is gentler on the eyes than traditional flash-based systems. Multi-interface connectivity via USB, Serial, and Keyboard Wedge ensures straightforward integration with existing workstations and host systems.
