The RS-232 serial interface distinguishes the Datalogic GFS4150-9 within the Gryphon 4100 fixed-mount scan module family, making it the cable-connected option for workstation and PLC-integrated installations. Its CCD image sensor reads all standard 1D codes, including GS1 DataBar linear codes, at 320 scan/s with a maximum scan resolution of 3 mil. Depth of field spans 2 in to 6.3 in at 5 mil, extending to a 1.2 in to 15.7 in range at 13 mil, and reaching 23.6 in at 20 mil, giving installers flexibility across varying read distances. The LED light source supports object-sensing auto-trigger, continuous scan mode, and remote triggering via PLC or sensor input. The module measures 2.2 in wide, 2.3 in deep, and 1.5 in tall, weighing 6 oz in a gray housing, and ships as a kit with an RS-232 cable included.
