The laser scan engine reads at 5 mil maximum resolution and supports both omni-directional and single-line scan patterns, with depth-of-field ranging from 1.5 in to 12 in depending on bar code density -- from 1.5 in - 4.5 in at 5.2 mil up to 1 in - 12 in at 19.5 mil. Symbology coverage includes all standard 1D codes plus RSS-14, RSS-14 Limited, and RSS-Expanded. Beyond the included keyboard wedge interface, the multi-interface architecture supports serial, USB, OCIA, IBM 468X/469X, light pen emulation, and laser emulation. The desktop unit draws 5 V DC, weighs 6 oz, and measures 4.3 in tall by 2.7 in wide by 2.6 in deep. Laser safety is certified to Class 1 under IEC60825-1 and EN60825-1, with EMC compliance to FCC, ICES-003, and EN55022 Class A.
