CF Scan Card 5P from Socket is an advanced-level scanner that adds affordable barcode scanning to your Pocket PC device. Based on revolutionary laser technology from Symbol Technologies, the CF Scan Card 5P scans all popular linear barcode symbologies. It is equipped with a powerful Class 2 laser scanning engine for high-volume, high-speed scanning. Its state-of-the-art laser technology enables the reading of damaged, poor quality and hard-to-read barcodes, even on curved and reflective surfaces and in dim environments. CF Scan Card 5P consumes minimal power during scanning to maximize battery life. SocketScan keyboard emulation software sends decoded data to any Windows application as virtual keystrokes. The integrated Type II CF card and scanner plugs into the Type II CompactFlash slot of Windows-powered Pocket PCs. With the optional CF-to-PC card adapter, CF Scan Card 5P can also be used in pen tablets or laptops. CF Scan Card 5P requires no extra batteries or special power adapter.
